Instantly recognizable against the Paris skyline, the Eiffel Tower was the first sight we visited in France. As you near the landmark, you start to realize its true immensity, as it stands nearly 1,000 feet tall. We arrived in the evening, just in time to view a hazy sunset over Paris.
